ABOUT THE BOOK
In Beacon Heights, Washington, five girls—Ava, Caitlin, Mackenzie, Julie, and Parker—know that you don’t have to be good to be perfect. At first the girls think they have nothing in common, until they realize that they all hate Nolan Hotchkiss, who’s done terrible things to each of them. They come up with the perfect way to kill him—a hypothetical murder, of course. It’s just a joke...until Nolan turns up dead, in exactly the way they planned. Only, they didn’t do it. And unless they find the real killer, their perfect lives will come crashing down around them.
From Sara Shepard, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling Pretty Little Liars series, comes another story of dark secrets, shocking twists, and what happens when five beautiful girls will do anything to hide the ugly truth.
CHAPTERS 28 - End
We have come to the end!
Honestly, I hoped to have a conclusion, and a killer brought to light, but unfortunately we have to wait for a sequel to find out who is the true killer, and who has it out for the girls.
The last couple of chapters had me at the edge of my seat. The girls are scared, and desperate. And when you're scared and desperate you don't really think clearly, and that is exactly what happens. They feel like they are backed into a corner and decide to take matters into their own hands and prove that Mr. Granger is Nolan's killer. I wanted to bite my nails off while the girls were on their little adventure trying to gather evidence.
Each girl carries a secret and little by little they are being revealed. The last couple of pages reveals yet another betrayal. I don't know how these girls are still standing. I think I would have broken into pieces by now.
Overall, The Perfectionist is a great read. I truly enjoyed it and am so happy that I took part in this read-along. If you like reading young adult novels with plenty of mystery and suspense, as well as a little every day life, and a pinch of romance, then definitely pick this up.
