Of Poseidon

Of Poseidon - Anna Banks Of Poseidon is one of those books that the story doesn't wow you, but the characters do. And I mean this in a good way. The story to me was just average and interesting enough to grasp my attention; I loved the characters more than anything. There were so many laugh out loud moments and so many times that I found myself smiling and turning the pages just because of the characters. Of Poseidon is definitely character driven and I liked each and every single one of them. The only real issue I had with Of Poseidon (and I have this issue with a lot of books) is she loses someone close to her and in like three weeks she is practically okay. It’s just not believable at all that you lose someone close to you and you’re THAT okay. This isn’t the first book that I’ve come across where a character learns to deal with death in such a short time frame. I just keep telling myself its fiction and it’s not a true story. It was hard at first though while reading because I kept thinking to myself How is she so okay with everything? Overall, even though I had a small issue with that part of the story, it does move at a great pace and you don't have to read until the very end to learn what is going on or who is who. Anna Banks takes you right into their world and doesn’t drag anything out. With every chapter you get an answer. I think this was another reason that I kept reading until the end. Despite everything I was entertained. This is definitely a fast read. 4 out of 5 stars!
